As a newbee in qt (almost 1 month), I have good knoledge in python but nothing in C++. I'm discovering almost everything. here are my most struggling points as beginner are about qml integration, which seems great but not so straightforward with qt for python. There a some small tutos for beggining but it's not easy to do more complex things. Here are my interrogations as a newbe after on month : - is it usable in production ? - a clear and obvious way to use Slot, Property and Signal to make python and qml communicate with list, dict... I really suffered in finding answers on it even it's really working great. - what about packaging : fbs is great for QtWidget but what about qml ? Personnaly I kept all qml files un fbs resource directory and imported it via a QRC file but I don't know if it's good practice. - the last thing for now which makes me still hesitate of using it is about testing. I found a qmltestrunner in the Qt distribution by accident in the bin directory but there is nothing in the pyside2 wheel. And as I'm talking to you I don't know if it's possible to run a qml test suite from python like it's doable from c++ : https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtquicktest-index.html. How to import python Qobject class in a qml test ? - this last point returns to the first : qml/qtforpython is experimental or ok for production ? - what is still not ported from c++ ? Maybe it's not exactly your question but I as a neebee, that's the things I would like to find on the website. ANyway the framework is very great for all other things :-) thank you

Quickly giving you a temp answer on your questions: - I know freelancers that are using Python/QML in production, so I would say it's but it's not 100% of what QML provides. - Agreed, this is tricky due to the way we expose properties on QML land. The main issue is that for example: QStringList doesn't exist in Python, but when declaring a Slot on a Python class that will become a QML property, one needs to use @Slot("QStringList") for QML to understand. I will write this down, to have a specific tutorial page on Signal, Slots and Propeties. - Packaging/Deployment: Time ago we faced the problem that this was requested, and we had two options, or write something from scratch, or adopt something that existed. We choosed the second one, and wanted to wait for a trend in our users regarding the tools. So far we haven't had much feedback on this, that's why we think the tutorials are enough, but yes, we don't have QML there, so maybe we can add new sections.

- I'm really ignorant of how qmltestrunner works, so I cannot say anything regarding the interaction with Python, but I haven't heard anyone talking about this.

Hello, i am a newbie in Qt and i need your help. I am using QWebEngineView from PySide2 5.14.0 for connecting html GUI with some python 3.7.1 backend. All that work is going under Windows 10. Can you help me to find out why html select element is so slow?
