I was wondering … Is there a way to debug QML applications? I mean, I've read https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtquick-debugging.html What I'm missing is a way to understand the layout / views. I have a PySide2 project where I render data into a table. But the content overflows the cell. With a browser, I'd open the Inspector tab and start investigating what's going on. Is there something similar to QML? (Also could help to see, whether accessible attributes are set)

The idea is to scrape some content on a given website and store it on a mariadb database on a Linux server

So it should make use of gecko driver. All of this has to be incorporated in an installation setup for windows

If I understand you correctly, selenium would use geckodriver to scrape parts of a website, store it in a MariaDB and Qt will read from that table and display its content.

sorry, but I'm not following really, what could be the problem? I mean, if you want to do a UI with Qt that starts the selenium scrapping, then use, idk, another button to update the DB, that should totally work

that might shed some light and we can try to think on corner cases

I have to build an installation setup for windows, selenium needs gecko driver my first doubt is if it is really possible to incorporate the driver into the setup

I mean, can you trigger a download of that file as part of the installation routine?

Sincerely I do not know this point. I have used nsis for creating setup files

you should be able to set this all up using NSIS as far as I know
