i want to ask another question, which is probably tangential. After building wheels for pyside6 and shiboken, i am trying to run pysude6-android-deploy, but i get this: https://pastebin.com/VTXW29st

I got a similar issue with a deployed Python app on Windows. Somehow, sometimes, Python fails to find the certificates for SSL. I mainly got that issue on Windows.
I solved it by using the truststore library. Given that the script does not reside inside an automatically cleared temporary directory, you can likely mitigate this by modifying the script and add these two lines somewhere at the top:
import truststore
truststore.inject_into_ssl()
(Also install the truststore library to the virtual environment.)

This call ensures that the ssl module can find the host's certificates.

Then your machine's CA trust store misses the required CA used by python.org. As far as I know, the browsers bring their own that contain the CA and are thus unaffected
So, i am kind of stumped. pyside6-android-deploy re-downloads all the scripts, so i cannot modify its code to try and ignore SSL certificates; also i failed to get the system to trust www.python.org, even after getting certificates from it with openssl s_client and manually adding them to system with update-ca-certificates
