is it possible to create a new component positioned under the caller window? I have property var consoleWin: Qt.createComponent("console.qml").createObject(mainWindow, {x: mainWindow.x, y:mainWindow.x + mainWindow.height}) in mainWindow, but every time I move mainWindow, a new "consoleWin" is spawned. I don't know if something like createObject(mainWindow, {anchors.top: mainWindow.bottom}) could work

Why do you create the consoleWin dynamically in the first place?
Serhii OlendarenkoWhy do you create the consoleWin dynamically in the first place?
I wanted to create another window, I just read that you can create it that way. I need 3 windows, but they are hidden by default, the other way was using a Loader? Sorry, I'm just starting to learn Qt
Sr. SI'll try that then, with loader is it possible to define the initial position? Ideally, it should be anchored to main window, but I can just set the initial x and y
Just anchor the loader itself. And then its inner component will be positioned accordingly by default
Markus BauerCan I somehow give the called object in a loader parameters? Like I can do with createComponent?
if you can't specify the parameters statically, you can use https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qml-qtquick-loader.html#setSource-method

@cmaureir When you will have a short time, a simple exemple showing how to use a qt c++ function in a python code would be helpful. QString Test::hello() ==> print(test.hello())

we have an example that does that: https://code.qt.io/cgit/pyside/pyside-setup.git/tree/examples/samplebinding
here are the docs https://code.qt.io/cgit/pyside/pyside-setup.git/tree/examples/samplebinding/doc/samplebinding.rst
In the next version that will be rendered on the documentation page.

Hello Goodnight
I'm facing this issue, ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'PySide6.QtWebEngineWidgets', when compiling pyside6.
What am I doing wrong?

Cristián 🥑by default that will pick up all the Qt modules you have related yout qtpaths binary
the default didn't work either. Had the same problem
related to flatpak, I have no idea how it works, but you can look into other projects like qutebrowser https://github.com/flathub/org.qutebrowser.qutebrowser maybe to get some missing bits from the yml configuration.
Rafaelthe default didn't work either. Had the same problem
what do you mean "it didn't work"? the compilation failed? once you finished and packaged your flatpak app, it didn't work?

did not fail, QtWebEngine modules were not present

Are you sure about this
--prefix=${FLATPAK_DEST}
when building shiboken6 ?
Cristián 🥑then your local Qt installation has no WebEngine on it
Yes, but in the compilation shouldn't it be together?
RafaelYes, but in the compilation shouldn't it be together?
building pyside doesn't build qt, you need to take care of either building qt by yourself, using the one in your system, install it via your package manager, or the qt installer

RafaelWouldn't it be so?
Isn't FLATPAK_DEST the root of the "filesystem", by that i mean / ? Shouldn't it be ${FLATPAK_DEST}/usr ?
RafaelAny idea how I can do this?
Maybe use the online installer, mentioned here https://doc.qt.io/qtforpython/gettingstarted.html

Already play in the correct location. Everything works, what is not recognized is the QtWebEngine
id 942897553i've seen this error from someone else recently ... he didn't find any answer
I've been trying for a week and got no response.
