Out of curiosity, do we have uv users here? I know for a few projects this is working out of the box, but there seems to be a little issue that I'm curious if someone else is experiencing

Well it was basically installing pyside, then trying to run a project and a shiboken so file fails to be loaded. I saw this on a Linux laptop

Hm. I've done this dozens of times. But every time I used python to execute code in the environment.

right...so it could be related to some strange way of uv to handle the run of the project
it's not that goes wrong, it's executing a pyside6 application that was installed through uv
I'd love to have a reproducer, but this was just told to me, saw the error on the terminal, asked for a bug report that never came :D I was just curious if maybe someone had experienced it

meh...tried it locally to check a helloworld example, and everything works 🤓 but of course everything works locally without having more details.... I wonder if maybe the venv that was created was somehow corrupted or something :/ but trying a simple: uv venv uv pip install pyside6 # copy code uv run main.py works
the thing about, why blaming uv, was because the person (I'm sorry for not having a minimal reproducible example) was trying vanilla python with venv, and it was working, while uv was not
uv+venv, and that's the whole point of the discussion :) discovering if this was a uv env handling

but I guess we are just guessing now, without reproducing the error, we can officially claim everything is working as expected 💯

I remember back then there were a few major issues on how 'conda' has handling environments, and we noticed after some time that the undelying issue was that other software depending on pyqt, was triggering pyqt to be installed, so the qt.conf file was placed within the conda configuration but "like globally" in that scope, so when pyside6 was installed, it was picking up that 🤓 at least with some time the issue was solved, that's why I was a bit afraid with uv handling some process differently. I'm happy that it works
