Qt for Python (PySide/Shiboken)

thank you sir. but this time i using Qt.5.14.2 and PySide2 5.15, so i difficult to make driver mysql for python and documentation on pyside2. that is qt5.15 is binary? or source code? thank you sir

i am using the QSqlDatabase.addDatabase('QMYSQL'), (this case i already success build driver mysql from Qt/C++ and mysql), but when try that code "QSqlDatabase.addDatabase('QMYSQL') on pyside2", is nothing happen. compiler said: QSqlDatabase: QMYSQL driver not loaded QSqlDatabase: available drivers: QSQLITE QMYSQL QMYSQL3 QODBC QODBC3 QPSQL QPSQL7 So, how to fix that problem. thank you so much sir..

maybe export QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS=1 gives you some debug information why the QMYSQL driver is apparently available but not loaded correctly

i dont understand to place the code "export .. ", it is on my python code or when i build my driver. because on my Qt/C++ the driver is good and can be loading data from my database mysql.

it's an environment variable you set before running your application (on Windows I think it's "set" rather than "export")

but why when using Qt/C++ the driver is ok wihtout using set PATH variable.

I guess you could do os.environ['QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS'] = '1' in Python before creating the QApplication object if that's easier

inside the main python file you are executing, you could try doing a: import os os.environ["QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS"] = 1 as the first lines of your file

Guys, I'm trying to keep appending new lines to my QTextEdit based on some conditions (using append() method of the qtextedit class). How can i set a color to the strings i append each time to the text edit box?

I see, so i will need the font element to enter a colored text, how about "style" attribute (which i think is css)?

Well … I haven't tried, but from a HTML+CSS perspective this sounds like it should work: style = '<style>.red{color:red;} .blue{color:blue;}</style>' html='<span class="red">something red</span><br /><span class="blue">something blue</span>' your_text_edit.setHTML(style + html)
